AI Artwork

Adventures in Input & Output

However particular you may be about what is what in the world of cats, where tails go and even heads, sometimes AI isn’t! Artificial intelligence may toss a cat’s tail in a mix of felines who’ve already laid claim to what appears to be their own tails. It’s a confusion of parts sometimes! You may find one inserted above the cat’s head, to the left, curving away from the left margin. You may even find a random cat head floating without a body. The same is true of full moons and Halloween scenes. You may tell AI that you want only one full moon and while it will comply, you’ll probably find a crescent moon hanging west of the full moon, twinkling amongst stars. If only the world at large immediately thought of the many worlds that exist in video games where multiple moons are commonplace. There’d be no protest of a crescent moon bowing to a full moon.

As long as you have a sense of humor and appreciate the challenge, you’ll find the effort to be understood by AI worthwhile. As someone who has fantasized about producing works much like, if not exactly like, these images displayed here, I can tell you there’s no lifetime in which I’d have time to create this art as well as display and sell it within a reasonable timeframe. In other words, I’d be 80 by the time the first 2 were ready to view. The impact of ME/CFS pretty much curtails any idea of reasonable timeframes with energy intensive efforts. I’m massively grateful for the possibilities the digital art world creates.

So, happy news! AI meets Ruth brain and Digital SoulSpeak pumps out some fantastic feline fancies. The only problem now? (Besides spotting the extra tails!) When to stop! And who knows, maybe there’s a market for the extra special renditions of cats in pose perfection amongst the abstract trees and extra tails.

In the meantime, you’ll find 4 posters from the numerous images that will soon be available at Digital SoulSpeak. Priced from $16 to $42 (on sale, that is), you’re sure to find a cat you can’t do without. Click through the first image to the 4 posters available on my Etsy shop and let me know what you think. If you’re interested in having access to these images for printable wall art, check back in a few weeks for subscription plans and benefits for the printable art possibilities. Subscribers will have access to downloadable/printable art that will otherwise only be accessible as posters. And for some of you, that’s plenty! I know I don’t have the time or energy to run around making prints at the better print shops. But if you do, there’s a plan in the works.

Meanwhile, enjoy the scenery and you may find there’s an item or two you’d like to buy in the meantime.
